The most glamorous of careers often hide many a sad story beneath. Lolo Jones, who won the USA and the World Olympic Games for the hurdle 2013 has attained this status with a lot of effort and patience. Jones, who was born into a homeless family and had five children living in conditions of hardship and poverty as a child, had an exceptionally difficult early life. Jones' mother moved constantly and even lived in a church basement. Jones' nomadic lifestyle made her change schools every year until she reached high school. Jones left her mother and moved to Theodore Roosevelt to enable her to concentrate on her passion for track. She had four families during her time in high school to study all in the same place. Jones, a cellist in the school's orchestra as well as recipient of Gatorade Track and Field Iowa athlete of the year award was awarded the Gatorade Iowa Athletic Award at the conclusion of high school. Jones was one of the best hurdlers in her age group when she was first enrolled in the college. At the 2002 NCAA Track and Field Championships, Jones won the 100-meters hurdles. In addition, she was in the team that finished first in the 100-meter Relay. Jones is a champion of indoor hurdles at the NCAA Championships in both 2003 and 2004. Jones started her track career at the end of 2005, when she had completed her undergraduate studies. The same year, she took home her first Torino Memorial event, and in the year 2206 she took home the Ostrava track event, as and the Heusden track event.

Brandt was raised and born in Cape Town in South Africa. She immigrated in Auckland New Zealand with her family in her teens. Lesley Ann Brandt was a South African born in December 1981. She's a very talented New Zealand actor. Lesley Brandt moved along with her entire family in Auckland New Zealand in 1999. In Auckland she began working as a salesperson, and then was promoted to the position of IT management consultant. Lesley began her professional career in commercials after several acting positions. In 2008 she completed her majors in acting and continued her training in Meisner methods of study. Lesley Brandt's debut notable actor role was on the TV drama series Diplomatic Immunity, which aired in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt has shown up in an episode of the New Zealand TV drama series Shortland Street in a visiting supporting appearance. Then she was in the Sci-Fi drama called This Is Not My Life based on the anecdotal city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia the hostage. She also appeared in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
